Ko Dong Man (Park Seo-Joon) used to practice taekwondo back in the school days and now he makes a living as a contract employee, while going after the UFC title. On the other hand, Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji-Won) gave up her dream of becoming an announcer and she works at the information desk of a department store. This is the story of two people who chase their dreams in their life, despite facing harsh reality which brings them down.
Since watching her in DOTS (Descendants Of The Sun) I have been wanting to see more of Kim Ji- Won. And when I found out that she is starring in this new drama, I was so excited to watch this show. But Lately I feel like I have been watching a lot of drama that consists of announcer/reporter love story (I don’t know what is the trend with this genre) that I feel like I just need to take a break from it for a while. And because this show just started and I hate waiting every week just for two episodes, I decided to wait until this show is done airing to start binge watching it. But for sure I will be watching this show soon.
2. The Bride of the Water God
When the narcissistic water god Ha Back (Nam Joo-Hyuk) visit earth in order to find a stone powerful enough to help him claim his throne, he seeks out the help of his servant and destined bride, psychiatrist So-ah (Shin Se-Kyung), whose family is fated to serve the water god for generations. The problem is that she has no belief in the gods and initially mistakes him for suffering from delusions. Things get stranger when the wind god Bi Ryum (Gong Myung), the water goddess Mu Ra(Krystal), and a hotel CEO/ demigod (Lim Ju Hwan) show up to complicate things.
Can I just say, OH. MY. GOD.
I can’t even put into words how excited I am for this show. I have been waiting for this show for months! Ever since I heard the news that Nam Joo-Hyuk is starring in a new drama, I have been patiently waiting for the release date. This drama is made from a webtoon written by Yoon Mi Kyung from 2006 to 2014, so I am freaking excited to see how this show will turn out. I am crossing my fingers that this drama turned out great!
3. Ruler : Master of the Mask
In the 1700’s, Crown Prince Lee Sun (Yoo Seung-Ho) fights against Pyunsoo Hwe. Pyunsoo Hwe is an organization that has accumulated power and wealth through privatizing water all over Joseon. Crown Prince Lee Sun becomes a hope for the people who suffers. With the help of Ga-Eun (Kim So-Hyun), Lee Sun overcomes adversity and grow as a just ruler.
Honestly I am not sure how I feel about this drama. Historical drama is never my forte, it hurts my head with all the politics and war, and the romance in historical dramas are usually painful to watch. I am excited about this drama and from all the reactions that I have seen about this show, it does seem promising and I will give it a go, however maybe not anytime soon.
