Timothée Chalamet : A Man Whose Smile Brightens Up The World
This is an appreciation post to my most beloved, most talented, most amazing smol bean in the entire world.
As most people did, I found Timothée Chalamet by watching the movie Call Me By Your Name, which ended up making me so obsessed and so in love with the movie that I ended up reading the book as well. This is important to mention because had I not watched the movie first, I believe that I would never – not in a million years – picked up the book. That is the extent of how amazing and moving the movie was for me.
Before watching Call Me By Your Name, I have honestly never heard of his name before. And I kind of regret that it took me so long to discover such a wonderful, down-to-earth and squishy actor and human being. Yes, your girl just used the word squishy.
As soon as I laid my eyes on Timothée in CMBYN, it was a done deal. I didn’t even realize the change had happened in me until hours later, when I caught myself watching all the interviews on Timothée that I could find. And I was surprised.
For someone who was able to act so flexibly and complexly in CMBYN, I expected Timothée to have a hard exterior. More like his character Elio in the movie. A little bit cold at times, and hard to approach. However, through his interviews, Timothée was the total opposite of the character he portrays. He has such an open and warm approach to everyone. And just by that alone, makes me adore him even more.
There is just something about him that I cannot pinpoint. I would assume that it is the innocence, curiosity and genuineness in him that you hardly ever see in Hollywood anymore these days that attracts people to Timothée like a moths to a flame.
Not only talented in acting, Timothée is also a very talented singer. Although, I do bring this information to you with some regret because his singing career did not take off. However, for those of you who are still curious about his brief singing career, you can check out his song here :
Oh and, did you know he speaks French? My smol bean speaks fluent French. If that won’t be the death of me, I don’t know what will.
