Top 6 Teacher/Student Romance Novels I Have Been Dying To Read

By now, I think I can positively say that I know myself enough to understand when a book slump is coming. I can also say that whenever said terrifying slump arrives, I know that I will need a story that will be able to shake up my reading habits, at the same time also manages to capture my attention from the beginning till the end.

After having quite a few reading slumps this year, I have found out that as crazy as it sounds, the “taboo romance” –– teacher/student romance –– has always been able to jumpstart my system and unearth my passion for reading all over again.

After almost a month of book slumping, I have finally decided to start picking up reading again a few days ago. While the first and second book that I picked up wasn’t able to hold my attention at all, third book was thankfully –– the charm. Because I ended up falling head over heels for it, and it honestly made me feel as if I was re-discovering my love for reading like it was the first time. It was to no surprise of course, that the book that was able to pull me out of my nearly month long reading slump was a book about taboo romance between a teacher and his student.

But hey, if it works, it works. Who’s to complain about it?

1. Loving Mr. Daniels

Genre : Romance, New Adult, Contemporary

Type   : Standalone

Status : Published

BLURB  :

To Whom it May Concern,

It was easy to call us forbidden and harder to call us soulmates. Yet I believed we were both. Forbidden soulmates.

When I arrived to Edgewood, Wisconsin I didn’t plan to find him. I didn’t plan to stumble into Joe’s bar and have Daniel’s music stir up my emotions. I had no clue that his voice would make my hurts forget their own sorrow. I had no idea that my happiness would remember its own bliss.

When I started senior year at my new school, I wasn’t prepared to call him Mr. Daniels, but sometimes life happens at the wrong time for all the right reasons.

Our love story wasn’t only about the physical connection.

It was about family. It was about loss. It was about being alive. It was silly. It was painful. It was mourning. It was laughter.

It was ours.

And for those reasons alone, I would never apologize for Loving Mr. Daniels.

2. A Different Blue

Genre : Romance, New Adult, Contemporary, Young Adult

Type   : Standalone

Status : Published

BLURB  :

Blue Echohawk doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn’t attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least. Tough, hard and overtly sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.

This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you don’t know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can’t love you back might be impossible.
