7 New Korean Drama I’m Excited To Watch –– KDrama Recommendations
It’s that time of the month again, ladies and gents.
It’s Korean Drama time!
We all know by now that your girl is obsessed with finding the next best KDrama. When I say “the next best”, I mean Goblin level jaw dropping. I know, the bars are set pretty high. But that’s why it’s called “best”. And while I can be pacified with an OK drama, a girl ain’t settling for no mediocre Korean dramas.
Because honey, you and I ?
And fabulous people deserves nothing less than the best, of course. Which is why, we’re always looking and going through new Korean dramas. All of it is so that we don’t lose out on that one gem in the sand.

1. The Banker

This drama is based on the Japanese manga “Kansayaku Nozaki Shuhei” which was written by “Ryouka Shuu” and illustrated by “Shigeru Noda” from 1998 to 2002.
It tells the story of a bank auditor pursues justice and policy changes at a time when an economic bubble is collapsing. No Dae Ho is an honest and sincere man. He works as a branch manager of Daehan Bank which is located in a small city. The branch is on a soon to be shutdown list. Surprisingly, No Dae Ho is promoted to an auditor at the bank’s headquarters in Seoul. And not long after his promotion, No Dae Ho faces corruption at the bank.
2. My Fellow Citizens

They find comfort with each other and they develop a relationship romantically. On their wedding day, Kim Mi Young reveals to Yang Jung Kook that she is actually a detective.
Meanwhile, Park Hoo Ja is a mysterious woman. She runs a private loan business that she inherited from her father. Her father was swindled by Yang Jung Kook. Park Hoo Ja finds Yang Jung Kook and blackmails him into running for a national assembly seat.

She’s a pro in both aspects of her life, and because of her fangirl dedication, Duk Mi has had to break up with several boyfriends, deciding instead to go all in for her fangirl activities instead of dating.
Ryan is a new director at the gallery where Duk Mi works. Once a painter, Ryan was a sensation in the art world from his debut to his retirement, and is now seeing career success as a director. An individualist through and through, Ryan comes to find out about Duk Mi’s double life.

They enjoy their lives with their two children to the fullest, but their peaceful dayssuddenly turn into one of a hellish experience. Their son, Park Sun Ho, who is in his 3rd year of middle school, becomes a victim of school violence and gets seriously injured. Park Moo Jin and Kang In Ha try to reveal the truth behind the assault that hurt their son. Their daughter, Park Soo Ho, who attends a year lower at the same school, also decides to seek the truth behind her brother’s attack in her own way.
Meanwhile, Oh Jin Pyo and Seo Eun Joo is a married couple who are both from wealthy families. Oh Jin Pyo is the chairman of a private school foundation inherited from his family. The couple has never experienced failure or lacked anything. However, that fact quickly changes when their son, Oh Joon Seok stirs up trouble at school. This sudden change forces Oh Jin Pyo and Seo Eun Joo to frantically try to cover up their son’s misbehavior in order to safely secure their place in the society.
The two families get entangled into a complicated case as they both desperately strive for clashing goals to find a ‘beautiful world’ in their lives.

7. Nokdu Flower (Mug Bean Flower)

Set during the Donghak Peasant Revolution which took place from 1894-1895. Two half-brothers fight on opposite sides of this rebellion.
Baek Yi Kang is the first son of an important family. His father is wealthy and he is notorious as a local government officer. But, Yi Kang’s mother is from the the lowest class. Due to his mother’s low social class, people look down on Baek Yi Kang.
Song Ja In is the only daughter for the head of a large peddlers group. She is the owner of Jeonjoo Yeokak, which sells merchandise and is also an inn. She has courage, stays calm under pressure and has charisma. Song Ja In dreams of becoming the best merchant in Joseon.
Baek Yi Hyun is Yi Kang’s younger half-brother. He is smart, handsome and polite. Unlike Yi Kang, Baek Yi Hyun was not born out of wedlock. Yi Hyun has everything and he treats his half-brother politely.
